FCCLA Conference is more than a Competition

The students in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) organization from Greenville High School attended a regional conference in Waco, TX, bringing home one student who is moving onto state competition in Dallas.

Sessia Ramirez is going to state competition after winning 1st place for communication.

One of the most heart-warming things that Mrs. Douglas saw at the competition was her students jumping in to help a competitor from another school. A young woman who was getting ready to go into the competition room was carrying her project when fell apart and she began to cry.

Reymundo Rios, DaiAn Flynn, SessiaRamirez, Yesenia Flores, and Zaira Rojo came to her rescue, picking up the pieces, sorting them and helping her put the display back together.

Reymundo, DaiAn, Sessia, Yesenia and Zaira were true winners for the competition because of the impact they made on FCCLA members who watched them. Way to go!
