You won't see this at many schools!

Mr. Brumley's morning check on his hogs going to Hunt County Fair next week ended sadly in the death of one of his son's show hogs. He was not sure of the cause of death, so he decided to turn to some other experts in determing the problem. Hog 1

Mr. Brumley, Mrs. Thompson and 3 students went to his home to load the hog to tranport to the high school.

Mrs. Thompson's students helped get the hog on the forklift, and the butchering process was headed by Mr. Kiowski, the chef at the high school. The hog was dissected and the internal organs removed for Mr. Anderton's Anatomy and Physiology class to study.

Hog 2

Chef then began to skin the hog with the help of students.

Hog 3

Thanks to Mr. Brumley, the students in Ag, A&P and Culinary Arts had a day they will remember.

Hog 4

Student at Greenville High School are fortunate to have so many skilled teachers and the equipment to handle this experience on the spur of the moment.
