The GISD Board of Trustees has approved the hiring of an officer for each campus.
The district has an Emergency Operations Plan that establishes protocol for an array of emergencies. GISD follows the standard response protocols (SRP) for all emergency drills and are sourcing a formalized Active Shooter Training for our staff.
Events before school begins
Greenville Early College High School Summer Bridge Program
All incoming GECHS freshman are invited to attend the GECHS Summer Bridge event in July. This will be an opportunity for incoming freshman to familiarize themselves with the high school campus and the GECHS program. Students will learn about the TSI assessment and discover tips and strategies to prepare for TSI success. Students will also experience guest speakers and participate in teambuilding activities with their fellow cohort members.
- 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Tuesday, July 26th and Wednesday, July 27th
- Lunch will be provided

GHS College Boot Camp
All incoming GHS 2023 seniors are invited to a college boot camp in August! This will be an opportunity for students to complete college applications, work on college essays, learn about financial aid, scholarships and so much more!

Class of 2023 Back-to-School Bash
All incoming seniors and their parents are invited to an informational meeting and then the seniors will participate in fun activities and get their schedules. The event is scheduled for August 15. Here are the details:

All incoming GHS freshmen are invited to the 2022 FISH Camp! Tour the high school, get your class schedule and be ready for the first day of school!
