Degrees and Certifications:
Born and raised here makes me a "Greenville girl", who actually attended this campus when I was in 5th and 6th grades. I chose Education over getting a degree in business due to volunteering in GHS's P.A.L.S. Program. Graduation brought me to Texas A&M-College Station, where I became a proud Former Student; and after teaching 2 years in Bryan ISD, my husband and I moved to Greenville. It was then, I had the opportunity of teaching and administrating at Lamar Elementary here in GISD for 10 years.
As you can see, I am personally invested in our community and want nothing more than to see each of our children succeed. Believe me when I say, it is a privilege to be your Principal.
Sixth Grade Center has a unique chance of teaching and reaching kids in one year's time. Our campus vision is that ALL students will experience their version of success. No matter specific needs, students will be respected and challenged. We will be driving for academic and self-esteem growth.
I feel strongly that the keys to success in school and life are embodied in a few basic skills that everyone is capable of demonstrating: Putting integrity first, Respecting ourselves and others, Insisting on everyone’s safety, Driving for excellence and Embodying kindness. SGC takes PRIDE in being one part of developing a student’s PRIDE.
Along with our entire staff, I look forward to working with your child and helping them grow as an individual. Please feel free to contact our office at any time with questions, concerns, suggestions or even positive experiences you may have.
Let me know what I can do for you.
