Greenville Early College High School recently welcomed its newest group of students, introducing the Class of 2030 cohort to the program. This year’s incoming class includes 62 students, with 20 pursuing the engineering track and 42 entering the allied health track.
As a school-within-a-school program, Greenville ECHS provides students with the opportunity to earn more than 60 college credit hours while also working toward an associate degree through the district’s partnership with Paris Junior College. The program is designed to give students a head start on their college and career pathways while still in high school, preparing them for both college and the workforce.
Chancellor Dr. Rebekah Russler said she was encouraged by the energy and excitement from the incoming students as they begin their journey in the program.
“The enthusiasm from this group has been incredible,” Russler said. “They are eager, motivated, and ready to take on the challenges that come with being part of Early College High School.”
The program continues to see significant growth, with 62 new freshmen joining as 17 seniors prepare to graduate this year. This increase reflects not only the success of the program, but also the growing interest from students and families looking for opportunities that provide a strong academic and career foundation.
The expansion is especially notable within the allied health track, which has grown to meet increasing demand for careers in the healthcare field. Through this pathway, students are gaining valuable knowledge and skills that can lead directly into high-need careers, helping to support and strengthen the local community.
With a new cohort stepping in and another group preparing to graduate, Greenville ECHS continues to provide students with meaningful opportunities to succeed beyond high school while building a pipeline of future professionals ready to make an impact.
Welcome, Class of 2030.
