Congratulations, Robowranglers!

Way to go Robowranglers!

Robowranglers 2

This past weekend the Robowranglers competed in an off-season competition, The Robot Remix in The Woodlands ,TX. The team has been working all summer to design and build an entirely new robot for this event. This was an opportunity for our design students, Madison Kroncke and Kacie Weeks, to showcase the skills they have learned over the past few years and completely design an entire robot independently.  Once the robot was designed we used this project as an opportunity to train all of our new team members,  and teach our returning members new skills. Attending the competition in the fall, allowed us to have students take on new roles and practice their skills before official competitions during 2018.

The new robot, named Bolt for it's ability to do everything at lightening speed, zipped around the competition to earn the number 1 ranking out of 32 teams in the qualification rounds. The Robowranglers selected team 1477 Texas Torque from The Woodlands, and team 5809 Spartans  from Stafford, TX to work with in the elimination rounds. The alliance sailed through undefeated to become tournament champions. This was a huge learning experience for all the students, and will help the team become even more successful in the upcoming season.
