Blake Rutherford has been a student in Greenville ISD for the past nine years, and he attended Lamar Elementary. Blake enjoys English and history. In his English class, he finds an outlet to write his thoughts and expressions, and in his history class, he is able to gain insight into how things were in the past. Outside of the classroom, Blake is the Lion Pride Band president and plays outside defender for the GHS soccer team. His community activities include being a youth leader at church and working in the outreach program on Wednesdays.  

In his spare time, he loves reading, listening to music, eating Olive Garden chicken parmesan and playing the occasional game of golf. His favorite memory as a student in GISD was when he and his friends received first division ratings at the state solo and ensemble contest. 

After graduation, Blake plans to major in psychology and minor in child development. He would like to go on to a career as a child therapist or a band director.
