In the News:
The Texas Education Agency has released the 2018 Annual Report on Texas public schools. To hear Commissioner Morath discus the report's highlights, listen to the TEA Time podcast episode at Annual Report Podcast.
A copy of the 2018 Annual Report is also posted on the TEA website.
School Report Cards Now Available:
The school report card (SRC) combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.
Federal Report Cards Now Available:
The U.S. Department of Education requires each state to prepare, and disseminate widely to the public, an annual report card for all public school districts, campuses, and the state. The Federal Report Cards for Texas Public School is a web-based system that generates the required federal report cards for dissemination by school districts. Every district that receives Title I, Part A funding is responsible for disseminating the report cards to the general public via widely available public means. Hard copies of the report will be made available to parents upon request and are available for viewing at the Wesley Martin Administration Building in the office of Research, Assessment, and Accountability.
District Annual Report Now Available:
The Texas Education Code (TEC), §39.306, requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the TAPR, district accreditation status, campus performance objectives, information on violent or criminal incidents, and information on the performance of the previous year’s graduates in their first year of college, as reported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
Each district’s board of trustees must hold a public hearing to discuss the district’s annual report within 90 days of receiving the final TAPR (winter break not included). Within two weeks following the public meeting, each district must widely publish its annual report, including posting it on the district website and other public places.
Greenville ISD held the public hearing on January 15, 2019. Click here to view the most recent district annual report.
