Zachary Reeder | Aviation Engineer and Pilot | '00 Grad

Zachary Reeder

Greenville High School 2000 grad Zachary Reeder is an aviation engineer and test pilot with Joby Aviation. He worked on the Joby electric flying taxi and helped design and test fly the “Stratolaunch” which is one of the world’s largest aircraft. Prior to his time with Joby, he worked with Scaled Composites as an engineer and piloted their one-of-a-kind Catbird aircraft to 5000 kilometer closed-course world speed record.

After graduating from GHS, Zachary attended Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.

At GHS, Zachary was involved with Odyssey of the Mind, now known as Destination Imagination. He said Pud Kearns, James Kirkpatrick, Becky Cassel, Laura Simpson Sean Cooper, Sue Shanks and Mrs. Davenport are people who played a big role in his life.
